Orange Cranberry Agave Sauce


This is my healthy take on cranberry sauce. I love it with oranges. It tastes great. If you like it with sugar, just replace the agave, palm sugar and corn starch with 2 cups of sugar.

2 cups water
Rind of one orange, just the top skin, chopped
1/4 cup orange juice
1 1/2 tsp orange extract
2 cups agave
1/2 cup coconut palm sugar (in health food stores)
1 Tbs cornstarch
2 packages cranberries

Boil water and orange rind for 10 minutes. Add orange juice, orange extract, agave, palm sugar and cornstarch. Bring back to a boil. Add cranberries. Bring to a boil again and turn heat down to a simmer for 10 minutes stirring a couple of times. Take off heat and let cool. Refrigerate.
