Use What You Have

24Jan13

I love the thought of using what you have instead of buying new materials.

  1. In our garden, our paths will be made of round wood cuts from fallen timbers
  2. Leaves will be used to mulch
  3. Our compost will fertilize year-round
  4. Rocks on our property will be used to correct drainage ditch problems
  5. Any old grass we pull out of the garden pasture will be used in our compost
  6. Horse manure, grass clippings and organic waste from the kitchen will be used to compost
  7. Toilet paper and paper towel rolls will be used to start seeds
  8. Grey water will be reused to water the plants
  9. Fallen timbers from the property will be used to build arbors and used in greenhouse construction

Feel free to share your ideas.
