Today, Eric and I got out and went to Mule Day in Columbia, Tennessee. It’s a nice little fair. We walked around the booths and ate barbeque.

There were a lot of mules participating in different events. There were even some pretty ones. Some of the mule’s coats were shaved with a design. The miniatures donkeys were the cutest. It made me want one.

According to Wikipedia, “Mule Day, is an annual celebration of all things related to mules, and is held in Columbia, Tennessee, the self-proclaimed “Mule Capital” of the world. It begun in 1840 as “Breeder’s Day”, a meeting for mule breeders, it now attracts over 200,000 people and takes place over four days. In addition to mules, traditional Appalachian food, music, dancing, and crafts are featured.”
