Peach Fuzz

Tonight I made a tasty yogurt ice cream in my little ice cream maker. This is my own concoction since I couldn’t find one that suited me. I had a whole basket of local farm peaches that I had to do something with, so this is my solution.

This peach ice cream reminds me of when I was a teen. I used to go up the The Ice Box, an ice cream/candy store in Manhattan Beach, California. I would get peach yogurt with sweet carab chips on it. It was such a delicious combination.

Peach Yogurt Ice Cream

1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup milk
2 egg yolks
1 1/2 cups frozen peaches
1 1/2 cups Greek yogurt, plain
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup coconut palm sugar or brown sugar
1/4 cup agave
1/2 cup milk

In a saucepan on medium heat, heat cream , milk and egg yolks. Heat for about 2-3 minutes. Let cool in refrigerator before starting the next step. About 20 minutes.

In a blender, mix peaches, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, agave and milk. Add egg mixture. Blend well.

Pour mixture into your ice cream maker and make according to manufacturer instructions. If you do not have an ice cream maker, you can freeze the mixture and it will still turn out good.
