In November of 2012, we bought a 32 acre farm in Tennesee, retired, and moved from California to start a sustainable farm. Our farm is called Summit’s Leap.

On our blog, we plan to share our experiences about micro farming, organic gardening, and animals. You’ll also learn a little bit about us along way. The Kitchen at Summit’s Leap blog contains our recipes.

Animals on our farm include: Our two dogs, Daisy and Goliath, our horse, Summit and our barn cat, Smokey. You’ll read about Tank, our neighbor’s dog and the two horses we board for Jessica, my trainer; Terry and Myst.

During Spring, we will visit local micro farms and CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture) so we can learn best practices and apply it to our own sustainable environment.

If you want to make a difference, look at the world’s social, economic and environmental issues and see where you can be part of the solution.
